Vintage XL Ceramic Pendant Lamp attributed to Tommaso Barbi | Hollywood Regency, 1970s

This is a vintage XL ceramic pendant lamp attributed to Italian designer Tommaso Barbi, featuring an organic form with scalloped detailing and subtle gold brushstroke accents on white glazed ceramic.

Crafted with a large, rounded ribbed shade in glazed ceramic, this pendant lamp has an expressive silhouette reminiscent of a flower or shell, with scalloped edges that catch the light. The interior of the shade has a pearlescent finish, reminiscent of the inside of a shell, adding depth and a soft, luminous glow to the light. The subtle gold brushwork adds warmth and contrast to the crisp white form, while the substantial size gives it commanding presence above dining tables, kitchen islands or in entryways. Though some parts may have been replaced, the lamp retains its strong visual character and vintage charm.

Excellent vintage condition with minimal signs of age; ceramic has no cracks and only a tiny chip which is barely visible (see photos). 
The lamp should be inspected carefully before hanging and is best installed by a qualified electrician due to the weight of the shade.
