Vintage XL Brass Table Lamp by Kullmann | Mid-Century Empire Style, 1970s

This is a vintage XL brass table lamp in Mid-Century Empire style designed and made by the Dutch lighting maker Kullmann. It stands an impressive 70 cm tall and features a classic silhouette with refined materials and historic character.

Timeless and refined in atmosphere, the lamp draws the eye with its warm brass tones and balanced, architectural form. It embodies a quiet grandeur that feels both classic and effortlessly sophisticated.

Crafted from heavy quality brass, this lamp has a stable oval base supporting a tapered column finished in English green and topped with a white candle-style top. The original Kullmann maker’s sticker, including model number No. 470/41, is preserved on the underside of the base, confirming its authenticity. It is completed with a matching ecru fabric lampshade finished with a beige trim.
The design beautifully blends Empire-inspired detailing with Mid-Century practicality, making it equally at home in classic, transitional, and curated contemporary interiors.

Condition
The lamp and shade are in excellent condition with only minimal age-related wear. The brass shows a natural patina, enhancing its character and authenticity, though it can of course be polished to a high-gloss finish if desired. Minor paint wear and small imperfections are only visible up close. The lampshade is in very good condition with slight cracking of the paint on the internal metal frame and minimal signs of use.
The lamp comes with an old, still working carbon filament bulb as shown in the photos.
