This vintage side table from the 1990s combines postmodern geometry with the playful proportions of Memphis design.
Light passes through the glass and catches its thick rim, leaving the sculptural base in full view.
A tapered wooden support meets a slim metal stem above a broad, light grey circular base. The thick glass top is screwed to the wooden support, and the wide base keeps the table steady. The table bears a small logo and the stamped number 88371, but unfortunately I have not been able to find out who the designer/manufacturer is.
