Vintage Mushroom Arc Wall Lamp by Gepo | Space Age, 1960/70s

A vintage mushroom arc wall lamp in Space Age design attributed to Gepo. This sculptural wall-mounted lamp features a chrome-plated metal arch and a brown spherical shade with a white interior, characteristic of mid-century Dutch design.

Pure Space Age character with an adjustable arc and mobile shade offering both direct and indirect lighting. 

Crafted with a sleek chrome arm anchored by a wall plate with transparent acrylic holders, the metal sphere rests within a ring allowing positioning in various directions. The brown metal shade and chrome finish reflect typical mid-century materials and industrial quality, while the adjustable components speak to functional craftsmanship of the era.

The arch is held by a sleek chrome wall plate with two chrome screws and transparent acrylic holders, making it adjustable in height. The lamp is fully rotatable and adjustable via the metal swivel arm and globe, allowing it to be positioned in multiple directions. This versatility makes it suitable for both direct lighting, such as for reading, and indirect ambient light when directed toward the wall.

This type of mushroom / eye ball lamp was produced in the 1960s and 1970s by well-known Dutch manufacturers such as Dijkstra, Raak, Gepo and Herda, and is characteristic of Mid-Century Atomic / Space Age design. Based on design cues and comparable examples, this piece is most likely by the Dutch maker Gepo (Gebroeders Posthuma, est. 1965), known for lighting with clean futuristic lines and a minimal aesthetic.

Condition
In excellent vintage condition with minor signs of age and use consistent with vintage lighting, including a very small dent on the globe and subtle surface wear typical for its age.
