A vintage mid-century modern teak footstool with upholstered seat, dating from the 1960s.
Quiet Scandinavian restraint, where understated craftsmanship meets everyday function, expressed through warm wood tones and carefully balanced proportions that bring a sense of calm to the interior.
Crafted with a solid teak frame, this footstool features gently tapered legs and softly rounded edges, characteristic of Nordic furniture design from the period. The rectangular padded seat is upholstered in light-toned synthetic material, offering a subtle contrast to the rich teak grain. The construction is simple yet precise, reflecting the emphasis on craftsmanship and everyday usability typical of mid-century interiors. Very good vintage condition with light signs of age and use. There is a small repair, and the seat has been reinforced on the underside where damage was present; the piece remains structurally sound and stable.
The original upholstery is made of synthetic material and therefore easy to clean, but it can also be easily reupholstered with a different fabric.
A versatile vintage accent that complements both classic and contemporary interiors, ideal for use as a footrest, occasional seat or subtle addition beside a lounge chair.
