This rare IKEA LINDOS footstool from 1997 is a Scandinavian modern design featuring black leather upholstery and a sculptural curved wood base.

A refined late-century piece with an expressive silhouette, balancing soft upholstery with the architectural character of bent wood.

Crafted with a generously padded black leather cushion, the seat is finished with stitched sections and subtle tufting. Four slender elements of curved wood come together around a central column before sweeping outward to create a distinctive four-point star base. The warm reddish-brown tone of the wood provides a restrained contrast to the black leather upholstery.

Original labels remain present underneath and identify the model as IKEA LINDOS in Black. The production code 9731 corresponds to week 31 of 1997. Originally designed as the matching footstool for the LINDOS leather lounge chair, the piece also works independently as an ottoman or footrest.
