Wall-mounted shoe rack and matching coat hook in Scandinavian modern style, produced by IKEA as part of the FRÄN series. Both pieces feature a minimalist black steel wire construction with soft, curved lines and a lightweight visual presence.
The open wire design creates a graphic, almost sculptural effect on the wall while keeping the overall composition light and practical for everyday use.
The shoe rack is designed with slim horizontal rods forming two practical tiers for storing footwear while keeping the structure open and airy. Its curved side frames extend slightly outward, preventing shoes from sliding while maintaining the graphic wire silhouette. The design shows clear influences from mid-century modular wall systems, in the style of Tomado, Nisse Strinning, and Pilastro.
The rack can be mounted on the wall or placed on the floor. It also works well as a towel rack in the bathroom or as a kitchen rack.
The matching wall hook echoes the same bent steel wire design language. Two upward loops and two lower hooks provide multiple hanging points for coats, scarves, or bags. The sculptural curves give the hook a playful yet functional character that pairs naturally with the rack.
Constructed from bent and welded steel wire with a powder-coated black finish, both pieces reflect IKEA’s functional Scandinavian approach to compact storage and simple, durable design.
