This ceramic flower frog vase is a Dutch studio pottery piece by Peter Selhorst, identified by the original “Potterie Peter Selhorst” label.
Its broad, mushroom-like silhouette and softly graduated terracotta and beige tones give the piece a quiet sculptural presence.
The vase consists of a tapered cylindrical body topped by a wide domed flower arranger with multiple openings for individual stems. The pierced upper section allows flowers or dried stems to be positioned separately, making the form particularly suited to ikebana-style arrangements. The softly textured ceramic surface and restrained earthy palette emphasize its handmade studio-pottery character.
Peter Selhorst worked from the family pottery in Linschoten, the Netherlands, producing hand-thrown ceramics including pieces intended for florists. Based on comparable Selhorst examples, this model is most likely from the 1980s–1990s.
