A Murano glass wall lamp sconce in Italian design by Ernesto Gismondi for VeArt, produced in the 1990s. The wall light features mouth-blown frosted Murano glass combined with an articulated metal blade and brass detailing that define its sculptural form.
Pure Italian lighting presence. Softly diffused illumination and a refined silhouette bring a calm, architectural atmosphere to the space.
Crafted with mouth-blown Murano glass and precisely finished metal components, this wall lamp reflects high-quality Italian craftsmanship. The frosted glass shade emits an even, ambient light, while the metal blade and subtle brass accents introduce contrast and structure. Designed by Ernesto Gismondi - a.k.a. 'Orni Halloween' -, founder of Artemide and a leading figure in Italian lighting design, this piece was produced under the VeArt label and combines technical refinement with sculptural clarity.
Italian design, high end quality, genuine craftsmanship and with the original label attached.
VeArt was founded in 1965 by Sergio Billiotti and Ludovico Diaz De Santillana and became known for its artistic Venetian glass and lighting, produced until the early 1990s. Under artistic director Mario Ticco, the company collaborated with leading designers of the period such as Toni Zuccheri, Umberto Riva, Tobia Scarpa, Renato Toso, Noti Massari and Paolo Zanotta. In 1991 VeArt was acquired by Artemide, marking the launch of refined mouth-blown glass collections.
Artemide, founded in Milan in 1958 by Ernesto Gismondi and Sergio Mazza, is internationally recognised for iconic designs such as the Tizio and Tolomeo lamps and for long-standing collaborations with influential architects including Gio Ponti, Mario Botta and Ettore Sottsass, shaping modern Italian lighting design.
